The Castle Westenhanger is one of those Kent wedding venues where our VW Camper Photo Booth feels completely at home.
With its historic castle setting, spacious lawns and reception marquee, there is plenty of room for guests to move between different parts of the celebration throughout the day. For one of our weddings here, we positioned our Camper Photo Booth outside the marquee, making it easy for guests to pop in for photos as the evening celebrations got underway.
A Camper Photo Booth Beside the Marquee
Our Camper Photo Booth is built inside a genuine vintage VW campervan, so rather than setting up a conventional photo booth inside the reception space, the camper becomes part of the wedding itself.
At The Castle Westenhanger, placing it alongside the marquee meant guests could step outside, climb into the camper for their photos and then head straight back to the party.
It worked particularly well for the relaxed atmosphere of the venue, while also giving guests something different to discover during the reception.
Vintage VW Style for a Historic Kent Venue
The character of the camper suited the surroundings beautifully.
Inside, guests use the touchscreen to start their photo session before posing for a series of pictures. Photos are taken with a DSLR camera and guests receive an instant printed keepsake to take away with them.
We also provide a selection of props to encourage guests to have fun with their photos, and the booth can be personalised for the wedding.
Because everything is contained within the camper, it also creates its own little photo booth space without taking up room inside the marquee.
Entertainment Guests Can Enjoy Throughout the Evening
One of the things we love about photo booths at weddings is that they don’t require a timetable or formal announcement.
Guests can wander over whenever they like, whether that’s between drinks, after the wedding breakfast or during a break from the dance floor.
It also tends to become more entertaining as the evening goes on, with couples, families and increasingly large groups all trying to squeeze into the camper together.
The result is a collection of photographs that feels much more informal than the official wedding photography — and often captures people who might not otherwise have had a photograph together.
